Getting a jumpstart on the 2011-2012 year.

Yes, it is summer vacation, and yes I am already thinking about next school year--lame, I know. But I have been contemplating ways to share my lessons and student work with my peers, my students' peers and their families for quite some time. My conclusion--a classroom blog is a great way to demonstrate and share my students' creative solutions to the problems I set forth. There is not much artwork to show right now. So, in the meantime, I await the results of the 2011 AP portfolio submission, wait to hear from RMU about a couple of students who applied to their Painting Guild Program, and am planning a visit to Gallery 37 in Millennium Park to visit a former colleague and one of my students who is participating in her furniture painting program.
